Brand Strategy & Identity
Positioning, identity and the rules that keep both intact once other people start using them.
What's usually broken
Most brands don't have a positioning problem they can see. They have eleven competitors who look the same, a logo chosen in a hurry, and packaging that a shopper walks past. The symptom shows up as expensive media — you end up paying to explain what the brand should have communicated on the shelf.
How we run it
-
Audit
Category, competitors, your own assets and what customers actually say back to you.
-
Position
One defensible claim, who it is for, and what you are deliberately not.
-
Build
Identity system, packaging, and the collateral the rest of the work runs on.
-
Document
Guidelines specific enough that a freelancer cannot accidentally break the brand.
This is a good fit if
- You are about to spend meaningfully on media and want the brand to carry some of the load
- You have outgrown an identity built for a smaller version of the business
- You are entering retail and packaging suddenly has to do the selling
If none of these sound like you, say so on the call and we'll tell you which of the five you actually need — or that you don't need us yet.
The other four subjects
Answer in brief
Q.1 How long does a positioning and identity project take?
The audit and positioning stage runs 2–3 weeks. Identity and packaging depend on how many touchpoints you need, but budget 6–8 weeks end to end for a full system, not just a logo.
Q.2 Do you rebrand, or only work with new brands?
Mostly rebrands — brands that outgrew an identity built for a smaller version of themselves. A ground-up new brand is rarer but the process is the same audit-first approach.
Q.3 What does a growth agency actually do?
Three things, in order: work out why someone should buy from you, build the assets that say so, then buy the attention to put it in front of them — measured against revenue rather than reach.
Q.4 How is Invoqo different from a media buying agency?
Most buyers optimise the account they’re handed. We also make the creative going into it and the brand behind the creative, which is usually where the account was actually losing money.
Q.5 What do you need from us to start?
Access to your ad accounts and analytics, twelve months of sales data, and an honest number for what a customer is worth to you. The audit is free and takes about a week.
Q.6 Do you work with brands outside India?
Yes, though our sharpest work is with Indian FMCG and D2C — that’s where we know the shelf, the platforms and the price sensitivity well enough to be useful quickly.
